Profile

Lucas Nannetti living near Sleaford in Lincolnshire started karting from the age of seven. After showing an interest in the sport, Dad (Jeff Nannetti) bought a Zip Bambino kart for Christmas. Since then he has never looked back. Firstly driving on an old airfield in Lincolnshire getting the feel of driving, which he continued during the remaining winter months. From this humble beginning he showed he had a desire and a passion to progress further.

Thereafter he attend a scheme called Racing for Buttons which is an excellent introduction into the world of Motorsport. This scheme is run by Gary Walker at PFI on Monday nights. Within months he had passed his ARKS test and started racing at club level at PFI as a member of TVKC where he continued to show his passion and determination and desire to win.

Joining John Mills Racing team based at PFI in 2011 he competed in the Formula Cadet WTP Little Green Man Championship racing on an RK chassis at tracks all over the country. In his first year he showed he had a lot of potential and finished a credible 11th place.

2012 saw him switching teams to the newly formed Forza-Racing under the charge of Paul Munn. Still racing in the Formula Cadet WTP Little Green Man Championship he switched chassis to a ZIP Lightning which suited him better. He continued to develop his race craft and finished an excellent 6th place.

2013 saw us switching teams to Next Generation Motorsport still under the tuition of Paul Munn. This was a difficult season for us beset with a lot of mechanical problems failing to finish in two rounds and not being very competitive for most of the other races.

2014 season sees Lucas switching teams to OWR (Ollie Walker Racing). We have had a long association with Ollie whist he was a mechanic in other teams. We are looking forward to the next season with a fresh start under Ollie's tuition. Lucas will continue to use the ZIP Lightning chassis with the British Formula Cadet IAME engine. This coming season he will compete in the Little Green Man Championship and selected Club Championships.

2015 sees Lucas progressing from Karts to cars and competing in the Junior Saloon Car Championship. This is a championship series for junior racers aged 14-17 driving a Citroen Saxo on many of Uk's major race circuits including Silverstone, Brands Hatch and Rockingham.
Currently our car in is the expert hands of Spoox Motorsports who are race preparing it for the championship and hope to have it finished for April where we will have a couple of months of practice before our first event after Lucas's 14th birthday in September.

2017 on reaching his 16th birthday saw Lucas stepping up from the Junior category to the Senior racing competing in the last three races of the Britcar Endurance Championship in a Ginetta G50 under the team management of Tockwith Motor Sports. This produced a stunning result having a class podium finish in each race.

2018 sees Lucas again competing with Tockwith Motor Sports Team in the Britcar Endurance Sprint race but this time driving a Smart For Four the only Smart car to compete in an endurance race in the UK. As part of this exciting new role Lucas will help continue develop the car along side Tockwith Motor Sports team.
